Richi Mbebele is a young independent producer, director, screenwriter and actor of Congolese nationality (Republic of Congo).

It has four films to its credit: two feature films, a medium film and a short film.

In 2016, his first feature film “Grave Erreur” won the award for the best Congolese film at the second edition of the International Congolese Film Festival “YA BETO” then competes for the prize for the best feature film Central Africa at the 20th edition of “Ecrans Noirs de Yaoundé” in Cameroon.

In 2017, the film was officially selected for the 25th edition of FESPACO (Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou). In the same year, Richi received the creator’s trophy (cinema category) at the 14th edition of the Sanzas de Mfoa in Brazzaville.

Then, at the end of screening of GRAVE ERREUR in France, he signs a contract of residency of artist and school support t in film-audio with the school city Auguste and Jean RENOIR d’Angers in Maine et Loire. He thus settles there momentarily in order to support final year in the production of their 2017-2018 Bac films and introduces at the same time the students of 6th to the script writing as well as the direction.

At the end of 2019, he released Grave Erreur 2 which won, in 2020, 6 Kamba’s award at the second edition of this awards ceremony which bears the name of his trophies. Since then, Richi is in the preparation phase of his next film, while Grave Erreur and Grave Erreur 2 are distributed in dvd and streaming.
